Pendle Labour Party is part of a democratic socialist party.

We believe that by the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone.

We aspire to create for each of us the means to realise our true potential and for all of us a community in which power, wealth and opportunity are in the hands of the many and not the few.

We believe that the rights we enjoy reflect the duties we owe and we want everyone to be able to live together freely, in a spirit of solidarity, tolerance and respect.

We work together for:

• A DYNAMIC ECONOMY serving the public interest.
• A JUST SOCIETY which judges its strength by the condition of the weak as much as the strong.
• AN OPEN DEMOCRACY, in which government is held to account by the people.
• A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT, which we protect, enhance and hold in trust for future generations.

We have set up this blog in order to share our values with you and everyone else. We hope that if you agree with us, that you will add to the debate on how our shared objectives can be achieved. If you don’t agree with us we hope that the articles on this blog will go some way to help you understand our objectives for our society. Furthermore, we hope that in time we will be able to convince you that our society will be better served by us all working together for the benefit of all.
